What we do
Merantix Momentum is a Berlin-based AI startup focusing on accelerating AI adoption across many industries through B2B solutions, as well as publicly funded research projects. We work across several domains, including automotive, manufacturing, retail, healthcare and many more, transforming businesses as an external machine learning department. We achieve this using our core expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning combined with our culture of rapid iterations to build scalable solutions.
Your role
Your role is to build our machine learning development platform and bring state-of-the-art machine learning solutions to production.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Develop and execute the strategy, tools and solutions for the Platform chapter
- Lead chapter engineers and coordinate chapter activities
- Solve complex industry problems by planning and executing ML projects

We are looking for driven, capable, and prudent talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement. Our hierarchy is flat and communication direct, which means that we operate and learn fast, as a team.
You are a great fit for our team if you bring these qualifications:
MSc in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent working experience
Strong programming skills in Python and bash
More than 3 years of experience with one or more of the following cloud providers: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure
Previous experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform or Ansible)
Experience developing CI/CD pipelines (Cloud build, Jenkins, Circle CI, Travis, or similar)
Experience in ML pipelining (e.g., MLFlow, Flyte, Kubeflow, Spark)
More than 3 years of experience running and monitoring distributed systems with Kubernetes and Docker
Experience in leading other engineers
Fluency in English
