Senior AI Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

As an Senior AI Platform Engineer, you will be the cornerstone of our data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. You'll lead the development and operation of our analytics platform while supporting internal and client project as platform engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity to pivot between to mainstreams, data and platform engineering.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Data & Analytics Engineering (Primary Focus):

• Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using dbt, SQL, and modern data stack tools;

• Develop robust data models and transformations for analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows;

• Implement comprehensive data quality frameworks and monitoring using tools like Great Expectations;

• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions;

• Lead the operation and enhancement of our internal analytics platform for data-driven decision-making;

• Design and implement data validation, testing, and documentation standards;

Platform Engineering:

• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for automating infrastructure provisioning;

• Take ownership of data infrastructure optimization and scaling;

• Support the enhancement of orchestration tools such as Flyte and Airflow within our data ecosystem;

• Develop internal development tools to support data and engineering teams;

• Participate in open-source projects, contributing to the broader data engineering community;

• Collaborate with client teams, including CV, NLP, and Fullstack, to deliver data-driven solutions;

You are a great fit for our team if you bring these qualifications:

• Education: MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent working experience.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt

• Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

• Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation

• Experience with cloud data platforms (preferably GCP BigQuery, but AWS/Azure experience transferable)

• Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect, or similar)

• Understanding of data modeling, warehousing concepts, and analytics engineering best practices

• Some exposure to containerization technologies (Docker) and infrastructure tools

• Understanding of CI/CD processes and version control

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools

• 2y+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform

• 2y+ Experience with container orchestration like Kubernetes

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
