Your role as Staff AI/ML Project Manager is the direct link between our engineering team and our customers. This is an extremely versatile position –  you will be interacting with developers, customers, business teams, and other stakeholders on a daily basis. Therefore, it is key for you to have well-rounded business acumen as well as good background knowledge about AI, Machine Learning, and its technical implementation. 

In order to build and cultivate outstanding relationships with our clients, we need a person who is passionate about immersing themselves in versatile problem-settings to shape custom-tailored ML solutions that have a lasting positive impact. Next to steering projects, Project Managers at Momentum are hands-on contributors to the solution development process, e.g., by building prototypes, facilitating user discovery workshops, or providing guidance on AI governance.

• Project Management. Ensure smooth execution of complex AI/ML projects to deliver maximum value to clients while mindfully taking into account technical and organizational constraints. Hold the project team accountable for high-quality deliverables, identify and mitigate risks. Manage implementation partners and communication with diverse stakeholders, from budget holders to users.

• Product Ownership. Understand processes and pain points of clients, mapping them into ML problems and conceptualizing user-centric ML solutions with validated business value. Own & steer the roadmaps / backlog for implementation projects as well as for systems in production.

• Requirements Engineering. Identify, document, and manage (non)functional requirements along a ML project, continuously thinking from a user perspective. Formulate and test against acceptance criteria, ensuring that we ship high-quality solutions and deliverables.

• AI Consulting & Business Analytics. Support our clients with AI adoption at every stage: From use case ideation and usability engineering to production roll-out and AI product lifecycle management. Analyse the client’s business to discover underlying problems/patterns and enable data-driven decision-making. 

• System Design. Create wireframes and prototypes using SOTA tooling, sketch solution architectures with a focus on value creation for clients.

• Business Development & Strategic Ownership. As a Senior member of the staff, you will strategically shape our internal processes and offerings with a focus on delivery excellence. You can expect to quickly take ownership ofspecific topics, tools, or processes, as well as to represent the Merantix brand externally.

Since we operate in the DACH region, fluency in both English and German is a must-have for this role.

• Product Owner Experience. You’ve worked with engineering teams to conceptualize and ship products (bonus points: AI/ML solutions) that users love. 

• Project Management Skillset. You can deliver results under time & budget constraints, keeping stakeholders happy and risks in check.

• Client Centricity. You have experience working with and for clients, engaging with them, and managing exchanges whilst steering projects with them.

• Domain Knowledge. Deep understanding of AI/ML applications is expected, relevant industry experience in manufacturing, healthcare, pharma, or public sector is a plus!

• Team player. Strong commitment to the team and Merantix vision, and a positive attitude represented by a hands-on, collaborative approach.

• Drive. Strong personal motivation and sense of ownership, shown in organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize appropriately and effectively investigative problems using data.

• Track Record. Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or similar, and 5+ years working experience in a tech corporate, tech startup or management consultancy (preferably in technical product or project management roles)
